Responsibilities:
- Cuts, platters, and displays products (beef, fish, pork, lamb, veal, poultry). Manages inventory and orders additional merchandise as per daily and weekly rotation. Ensures freshness and quality.
- Prepares specialty meat merchandise; checks product to make sure it meets quality standards.
- Mentors and supports other meat cutters.
- Provides excellent customer service, address customers’ needs promptly and effectively, and model suggestive selling techniques. Ensures to provide customer’s orders accurately and on time.
- Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and displaying products.
- Follows and/or ensures compliance with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment and follows storage guidelines in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards.
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
- Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
