Job Description:
Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Vacancy: 3
Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Wage: 20.00 CAD per hour

Main duties:
• Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
• Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Job Requirement:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Immunization Records
Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Dependability, Excellent oral communication, Team player, Reliability
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): BC Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECE-A) Certificate
Work Setting: Child care centre
Target audience(Childcare group) : Children and Infant (3 months – 11 months)
