About GC Sports Centre: GC Sports Centre is a 9000 square foot indoor FieldTurf soccer facility. The facility is mainly in operation to run our own programming, it’s been in operation for almost two years, already boasting a membership of 700+ members between the ages of 1-17. We run a Travel Team, High Performance, Academy and a tots program. We have a strong group of coaches, many of whom have played and coached with Canada Games and University teams. 

The Director of Soccer Operations will work in partnership with the GC Sports Centre Managing Director to grow our current programming and take on new exciting initiatives. The successful candidate will have:

 

Strong interpersonal skills (both with parents and youth players)

Minimum CSA Youth, A National or equivalent coaching license

University degree in a sport related field

Minimum two years experience working with a professional youth academy

Strong coaching background with proven results in player development

 

Job Duties:

 

Support the education and development of GC soccer coaches

Coach GC High Performance groups and travel teams

Develop and implement age specific curriculums 

Provide positive and constructive feedback to players and parents

Recruit coaches & players for GC training programs & travel teams

Work with public and private organizations to foster growth of GC programs

Develop long term program plans, policies and procedures in partnership with GC Managing Director 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $86,000.00 per year

Tasks:

  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
  • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to emotional well-being of children
  • Help children with homework
