Lead Cashier Job Description

Responsibilities:
– Oversee cashiers and ensure smooth operations at the checkout counter
– Train new cashiers on proper cash handling procedures and customer service skills
– Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
– Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing returns and exchanges
– Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
– Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
– Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting cash drawers and preparing deposits
– Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience for customers

Retail Store Supervisor

Patisserie La Cigogne is a Toronto based company specializing in the making and catering of French-inspired pastries and baked goods. Established in 2003, we offer a wide variety of French pastries and cater for all sorts of special occasions. With two locations in the Greater Toronto Area, we are currently seeking a full-time Retail Store Supervisor to join our 1626 Bayview Ave location.

Job Title : Retail Store Supervisor

Hours of work per week: 35 hours per week

Business Address: 1626 Bayview Ave, Toronto, Ontario M4G 3B7

Location of work: Same as business address. Remote work is not available for this position.

 

Job duties:

  • Control product inventory and order supplies as needed for the preparation of goods;
  • Supervise and coordinate staff shifts to ensure the preparation of goods in a timely manner;
  • Resolve any issues that may arise from customers, including complaints;
  • Record daily sales and expenses;
  • Prepare weekly reports regarding sales and inventory to store manager;
  • Responsible for the supervision of the store’s staff work;
  • Responsible for opening and closing the store when needed;
  • Responsible for signing store deliveries;
  • Ensure that the store’s image is maintained

 

Terms of employment: Permanent full-time.

Wage: $21.00 / hour

Skill requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Post-secondary diploma (1 to 2 years) in Customer Service, Business, or related field is preferred
  • Proven experience in a supervisor role is required
  • Previous experience in retail is required
  • Requires supervision for 5-7 employees
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (language of work: English)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
