Job Description:

• Analyze, design, develop and test new platform service suites.
• Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods.
• Design and develop a new transaction processing platform using various configuration techniques.
• Test software development methodologies in an agile environment.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and improvements on existing systems and platforms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other Software Engineer and Project Managers to achieve solutions.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Build user experience on our current platform and new platform
• Manage the software development lifecycle.
• Test new software and fixing bugs.
• Design and implement the architecture and functionality of a large-scale data services backend

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer scenes or related field
• 4+ years of software engineer experience
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Experience with databases (ideally MySQL, Cassandra, or Redis).
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Has initiative and is able to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.
• Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly.

About the Position:

We are seeking a computer system specialist to work closely with our computer team .  For those candidates who enjoy working in a team-based environment and have a keen interest in problem solving and applying state-of-the-art technology to solve challenging technical problems.

The position is in Richmond, BC, Canada, and only the candidates with the experience level will be invited to the interviews.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working closely with the computer team, act as a subject matter expert with regards to data analysis, data management, infrastructure.
• Maintaining the center’s computer networking, ensuring it is secure and operates efficiently.
• Assisting with the integration of technology into the educational curriculum, including training teachers and students on how to use the technology effectively.
• Maintaining and repairing computer equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other related hardware.
• Ensure the storage, backup, and retrieval of data, as well as protecting sensitive information from unauthorized access.
• Installing and upgrading software systems and applications, including operating systems and educational software programs.
• Oversee staff including teachers and students’ computer equipment are operating smoothly during the classes and ensuring the effective use of technology to support learning and teaching activities.
• QUALIFICATION:Completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering.Minimum three years as a computer system specialistA professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other related information technology *IT) designation will be an asset.What we offer:
  1. Wages: $41/per hour, we guaranteed 30 hours per week on a full-time basis. Overtime hourly rate will be $61.5 if exceed 40 hours per week.
