Overview

Mart Technologies is a start-up information technology services company based in Victoria, BC. We currently seeking an experienced full-time Data Scientist as our key team member. Duties include, but are not limited to:

 

Responsibilities:

·       Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes

·       Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns

·       Conduct research and provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding the selection application and implementation of database management tools

·       Develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models

·       Research and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, and data access rules

·       Operate database management systems, mining and analyzing data from company databases to improve marketing, product development, or overall business strategies

·       Using predictive modeling to optimize revenue growth, marketing campaigns, and customer experiences

·       Communicating and coordinating with teams to implement data-driven strategies while measuring progress

 

Job requirements:

Languages

English

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field is required

Experience

A minimum of 3 years working experience in computer science is strongly desired

 

Job types:

Full-time, Permanent, 30 hours/week

Salary: $45.15/hour

  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Installing machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
