Clipper Construction Ltd. operating as Coreydale Contracting Co. located at 16 Melanie Dr, Brampton, ON L6T4K9 has two full time and permanent position for a Heavy-Duty Mechanic. We are a construction contracting company that offers the following services: High-rise and low-rise excavation, industrial and commercial site grading and foundation excavation, infrastructure work including but not limited to roads and highways and environmental cleanup. 

 

Duties

Inspect and check heavy-duty equipment and heavy equipment such as bulldozers, graders, excavators, and other heavy-duty construction equipment.

Diagnosing faulty or malfunctioning components, equipment, or parts using computerized and testing equipment to determine repairs needed.

Adjusting, replacing or repairing components, equipment or parts or systems using power tools or hand tools. 

Service equipment or attachments of the heavy-duty equipment.

Test all the repaired equipment to ensure they work according to the manufacturer’s specifications. 

Perform and schedule routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning and lubricating.

Organize and plan work schedules

Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures and guidelines at the workplace. 

Speak, write and read English

 

Education

 

A relevant Journeyman qualification as Mechanic from any jurisdiction OR enough experience to challenge the Red Seal as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic 

 

Wages

$45- $48 per hour / 8 hours per day /40 hours regular week or up to 50 hours per week

Over-time required / paid after 44 hours per week
