Swimming Pool Installer

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Site Foreman and/or the Construction Field Manager, the Level I Pool Builder is responsible for supporting and assisting on tasks related residential and commercial pool building projects as directed by the Site Foreman and/or Construction Field Manager.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Receive, read, & seek to understand written and verbal instructions daily
  • Learn and conduct activities required to demolishing/building and renovating commercial swimming pools, spa, and water features
  • Collect the necessary tools and equipment and load and secure them into the truck
  • Safely operate construction vehicles on city roads and highways
  • Load and unload construction materials and move them to appropriate work areas
  • Pick up construction materials to keep jobs running smoothly
  • Assist and perform tasks where possible related to all phases of pool building
  • Remove rubble and construction debris from construction site and dispose of, where directed at the shop.
  • Keep job sites clean and organized
  • Ensure company vehicles are kept clean and organized at the end of every day
  • Support the preparation of the construction site to begin the building process
  • Tend to or feed equipment such as mixers, compressors, and pumps
  • Clean shell for waterproofing/tile/marbelite/paint
  • Set up and take down of the scaffolding
  • Install temporary construction fence and take down once job is complete
  • Return equipment from jobsite to warehouse to the correct area upon completion
  • Operate equipment such as power wheelbarrows, power tools, jackhammers, hand tools, etc.
  • Undertake work and follow instructions, responding to direction as required when the Site Foreman and/or the Construction Manager is not on site
  • Pro-actively reach out to the Site Foreman or Construction Manager when issues arise for solutions, answers, or further instructions

Pay: $24.00 per hour

 

Pool Cleaner

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the Maintenance Technician Level I is responsible for the ongoing cleaning and maintenance of pools ensuring there is balanced and clear water, so they are always ready for use by customers, and meet the high-quality standards of BonaVista.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be ready and willing to learn new tasks, ask questions on a regular basis until you fully understand water chemistry and how to treat and balance pool water based on test results
  • Perform all daily maintenance work orders in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of service
  • Conduct on-site tasks such as cleaning debris, skimming water surfaces, cleaning baskets, and vacuuming
  • Test and balance water chemistry at every visit, ensuring appropriate chemical adjustments are made to the pool and keep record of water chemistry and measurements
  • Complete works orders on BV app with all information requested and chemicals and/or parts used, while on site
  • Perform repairs, as required, on Polaris cleaners, chlorinators and other small items related to the pool care and maintenance
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with the work performed
  • Identify any issues that arise from customers and bring forward to the Maintenance Coordinator, always documenting issues on work order
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and organized fashion, and are stocked and loaded for the day’s calls
  • Test all equipment and report any issues or equipment servicing needs on BV app or to the Service Manager
  • Maintain good customer service when speaking to customers directly
  • Maintain and clean mechanical system areas or cabanas to ensure chemicals are stored properly, debris and old parts are removed

Internal: Service Manager, Maintenance and Service Coordinators, other maintenance staff and other staff as required

External: Customers and potential customers

  • Must have and maintain a Valid Driver’s license G2 or G
