Responsibilities

Tasks

Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts

Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables

Repair machine tools and parts

Set up and adjust production machineries/tools

Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance

Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments

Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances

Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)

Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools

Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • A university degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field is required; equivalent experience is acceptable.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3  years of experience in office administration or related roles.

  • Experience working in the construction, trades, or project-based service industries is an asset.

Language:

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for clear communication with management, field staff, and external partners.

Skills Preferred:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of construction/trades industry is an asset

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Technology & Software Knowledge (Preferred):

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 

  • Cloud storage & collaboration tools (e.g. Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive) 

JOB DUTIES

  • Implement and improve administrative procedures to support daily operations of the painting and construction projects.

  • Review and evaluate office procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.

  • Delegate and supervise work assignments to office support staff.

  • Establish work priorities and monitor progress to ensure project timelines and deadlines are met.

  • Carry out administrative activities such as maintaining employee records, project files, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate office services including supplies, equipment, parking, maintenance, and health & safety requirements.

  • Assist in preparing the company’s operating budget and maintain accurate records of expenses, materials, and inventory.

  • Collect and compile project data, preparing regular and special reports for management.

  • Perform data entry and maintain digital and physical filing systems.

  • Train and support office staff on administrative processes and company systems.

  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative functions to support construction crews and project managers.

  • Monitor and evaluate administrative workflows, recommending improvements.

  • Plan and control budgets and expenditures related to office operations and project administration.

WORKING SETTING

  • Full-time office-based position (Monday to Friday)
