Job duties include:

  • Establish work schedules, procedures and coordinate activities with drivers, shipping, receiving and accounting
  • Scheduling and proactively dispatching/supervising a fleet of drivers (local/line haul/owner operators), trucks and trailers by coordinating with other dispatchers
  • Utilize company software and programs to dispatch trucks and update equipment status on internal systems
  • Assign drivers and trucks, and design routes
  • Direct the pickup and delivery activities
  • Receive customer requests for the pickup and delivery of freight and consolidate freight orders into truckloads for specific destinations
  • Professionally communicate between customers, drivers and dock workers to ensure delivery appointments are kept and are according to client specifications
  • Prepare and submit progress and other reports
  • Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
    Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work
  • Handle multiple calls and methods of communication including email, text messaging and in person

Job skills:

  • Previous Dispatch experience in the trucking industry will be an asset
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers, scanners and fax machines
  • Tech-savvy with dedicated logistics software
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to learn new tasks quickly

Deck Builder

Deck Builder: $25/Hr

Residential and commercial installers and servicers install and service a wide variety of interior and exterior prefabricated products such as windows, doors, electrical appliances, water heaters, fences, play structures and septic and irrigation systems at residential, commercial or institutional properties. They are employed by companies specializing in specific product installation and service.

Job duties

  • Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
  • Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
  • Install, repair and service interior prefabricated products such as doors, windows, kitchen cupboards, bathroom vanities, water heaters and household appliances using hand and power tools
  • Install, repair and service exterior prefabricated products such as siding, shutters, awnings, fencing, decks, septic and irrigation systems, signs and play structures using hand and power tools.
