About Us:
Little Munchkin Daycare is a place where children can grow and develop during the upbringing and healthy environment. We strive to develop programs tailored to the needs of the child; our programs/activities are specialized towards early learning education – infant-toddler program. We are looking for a full-time Early Childhood Educator.

Job Description:
Position: Early Childhood Educator
Vacancy: 1
Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Wage: $23.00 CAD per hour
Benefits: dental and health benefits after 6-month probation
$6 CAD per hour wage enhancement provided by the British Columbia Child Development Department.
Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent

Main duties:

– Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
– Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
– Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
– Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
– Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
– Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
– Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
– Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
– Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Job Requirement:
License: British Columbia Early Childhood Educator License Required
Education: College, CEGEP
Experience: Experience an asset
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Immunization Records
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
