Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling and analysis using chromatography techniques
- Execute internal audits and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to maintain a continuous state of audit readiness.
- Maintain laboratory equipment
- Operate laboratory apparatus
- Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments
- Develop innovative R&D recipes and lead the transition to large-scale production by optimizing equipment parameters and mass-balance for consistent output.
- Establish technical specifications for raw materials and finished goods, including precise nutritional labelling and allergen matrices.
- Implement and monitor HACCP and preventative control plans to ensure 100% adherence to GFSI and national regulatory standards.
- Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures
- Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results
- Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis
- Conduct safety training programs
- Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
- Examine ingredients or finished products to ensure conformance to company standards
- Propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures
- Grade and label raw materials or finished products
- Set up and conduct microbiological tests and laboratory analyses
- Monitor production and troubleshoot production problems
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations
