Sushi Cook (NOC 6322)

Issei Restaurant Ltd. o/a Sushi Hiro Japanese Restaurant, an established sushi restaurant, requires one (1) sushi cook to work at our restaurant, located at 727 5th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta T2P 0N2, to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant will be required to prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, work with minimal supervision, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.

Job Responsibility

  • Respond to inquiries via telephone, in person, or electronically, or direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Prepare various documents, including correspondence, reports, statements, forms, presentations, applications, etc.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, both manually and electronically.
  • Photocopy, collate, distribute documents, and manage mailing and filing.
  • Send and receive messages and documents using fax machines or email.
  • Maintain office supply inventory, place orders as needed, and arrange for office equipment servicing.
  • Assist in preparing meeting agendas, attend meetings, and take minutes.
  • Support administrative tasks such as budget submissions, contract administration, and work schedules.
  • May sort, process, and verify receipts, expenditures, forms, and other documents.
  • May oversee workflow for other office support staff.
  • May perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including preparing invoices and bank deposits.
