Job Position: Accountant

Job Condition: Permanent, Full-time

Job Location: 327A – 4501 NORTH ROAD, BURNABY, BC V3N 4R7

Wages and working hours: $38.50 per hour, 30 hours per week

 

Responsibilities:

-Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control

-Administer accounting systems

-Analyze clients’ financial records and plan and develop clients’ financial objectives

-Prepare financial information for individuals or companies

-Prepare reports and audit findings and examine accounting records

-Make recommendations concerning cash management and investment planning

-Prepare financial statements and reports and analyze financial documents and reports

-Administer personal, corporate and other types of trusts, direct trust account investments, receive and record investment income and disburse trust funds

 

Requirement:

-2 years or higher of related work experience

-College Diploma

-Able to communicate in English

Accounting technician (NOC: 12200)
Number of Positions Available: 1
Term of Employment: Permanent Position, 30 hours per week.
Location of Work: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Wage: $30.16 per Hour
Language Requirements: English

Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain financial records, complex note disclosures, and other financial and accounting reports or statements as requested.
• Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of accounts through account reconciliation.
• Perform routine bookkeeping and reconciling bank accounts.
• Operate computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Compute and generate cheques for payrolls, utilities, taxes, and miscellaneous bills.
• Perform tax preparation and tax returns for clients.
• Evaluate and reconcile GST and PST accounts.
• Prepare and submit government documents, including tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other related documents.

Qualifications
• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of courses in accounting or bookkeeping to effectively perform the responsibilities described.
• Minimum of one year of similar work experience in an accounting role.
• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, including written and oral communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational abilities, including the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Overtime may be required during high volume or peak season.
• Similar work experience in U.S. taxation.
