Administrative Assistant

Specific Skills:

  • Welcome visitors, inquire about their business and direct them to the employer or any appropriate person.
  • Manage calls and messages received via telephone and electronic means by forwarding them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Make, edit, and proofread correspondence, invoices, reports, and other materials manually or electronically.
  • Distribute incoming regular mail, emails, and other materials.
  • Set up company meetings, conferences, and appointments with the employer.
  • Maintain inventory and manage the ordering of supplies.
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, including the maintenance of the company’s website.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, network problems, and hardware equipment (i.e., computers, printers).
  • Establish/Modify existing or new office procedures to enhance business flow.
  • Gather necessary data and other information to aid farm research activities and inventory.
  • Prepare payroll and prepare cheques for employees’ wages.
  • Oversee and train staff on existing and new procedures, including the use of new or existing software or application.

Terms of Employment:          Permanent, Full time

Language of work:                 English

Wage:                                      23.50 per hour

Hours:                                     30 to 40 hours per week

Location of work:                   Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Sitting for long hours, operating computers, printers, copiers, telephones, management software, and Microsoft Office applications, troubleshooting network problems, software, and hardware issues.

Transportation/Travel Information: Public Transportation is NOT available; Must have their own transportation.

Work Experience:                     Experience is an Asset

Educational Requirement:    Completion of Secondary Education

Shop Clerk

Description: We are a sandblasting company located in a quaint rural municipality of Neilburg Saskatchewan. We need a Shop Clerk to help us with shop operations and as an in – office support staff.

Specific Skills:

Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of sandblasting need

Advise customers on type of services appropriate for them

Promote specialized products and services

Prepare work estimates and credit terms

Prepare sales invoices

Assist in shop display

Maintain sales record for inventory control

Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering supplies

May conduct sales transactions through online

May do after office clean up if needed

Terms of Employment:          Permanent, Full time

Wage:                                      15.00 per hour

Hours:                                     30 to 40 hours per week
