Hourly rate: $26.50 CAD/Hour

Main duties:

  • Prepare and cook all meals or individual dishes and foods,
    • Clean the kitchen as per the cleaning schedule and restock work areas and ensure proper stock rotation,
    • Assist in training kitchen staff,
    • Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers,
    • Assist with special event menus,
    • Create and maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment,
    • Weekly and monthly reporting to managers,
    • Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.

Qualifications & skills:

  • 1-2 years of related work experience.
    • Completion of secondary school is required

Job Brief: A R V Enterprises DBA Papa Johns is looking for an experienced Food Service Supervisor, who can supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the day-to-day activities of staff who prepare, and serve food, providing excellence in customer service.

Job Duties:

Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food

Estimate and order inventory and supplies required for the restaurant

Assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency of operations

Maintain records for inventory, repairs, sales and waste

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

Prepares work schedules and evaluates work performance of employees

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards

May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Requirements:

Language: Basic English is a requirement

Education: Completion of secondary School is required

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in food preparation or service are required

Core skills:

Able to stand and walk for long periods of time

Provide excellent customer service

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Must be attentive and detail-oriented
