We are a Cantonese restaurant located in Vancouver. Our restaurant is dedicated to providing our guests with an authentic Cantonese culinary experience that highlights the richness and diversity of the Cantonese foods. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and an extensive menu of classic Cantonese dishes and innovative creations, our restaurant is a must-visit destination for food lovers in Vancouver.   Now, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service, team management, accounting, and a deep appreciation and understanding of Cantonese cuisine and culture. As the Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience, and that our team is motivated, productive, and efficient.    Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, ensuring high-quality food and service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. 
  • Developing and implementing customer service policies and procedures to ensure that all guests have a positive and welcoming experience.  
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, including managing bookkeeping, payroll, and inventory management.  
  • Analyzing financial data and creating reports to track profitability and identify areas for improvement.  
  • Recruiting and training new employees, as well as providing ongoing training and development for existing staff.  
  • Managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing for supplies and equipment.  
  • Planning and executing special events and promotions to attract new customers and retain existing ones. 

  We are looking for a highly qualified Restaurant Manager with the following qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant management; an experience in Cantonese cuisine restaurant will be an asset.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse group of customers and employees. 
  • Proven ability to manage financial records, analyze data, and create reports. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of employees effectively. 
  • Fluency in Cantonese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A degree in hospitality management, business, accounting, or a related field is required.

Food Service Supervisor

We are currently looking for a passionate individual to fill the position of “Food Service Supervisor” at our restaurant, JBS Kerala Kitchen Inc.

We are a restaurant located in Scarborough Ontario that offers authentic Kerala cuisine. Our restaurant provides takeout, catering service and dining in services.

We are looking for two unique candidates to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in English with excellent oral communication skills and have a minimum of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. We are also looking for a candidate who has minimum of two (2) years to less than three (3) years’ experience in a relevant restaurant field position.

The Candidate will be in charge of Establishing Methods to meet work schedules and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage. You will be required to supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food and ensure food service and quality control. The ideal candidate will estimate and order ingredients and supplies and prepare and submit reports. You will be required to address customers’ complaints or concerns. You will hire food service staff and train staff in job duties sanitation and safety procedures. The ideal candidate will have to prepare budget and cost estimates and food order summaries for the chef as well.

We are looking for candidates who are extremely client focused with excellent oral communication and efficient interpersonal skills. The ideal candidates must be a team player who also is able to insure flexibility.

This is a permanent and full-time position requiring (40 hours/week) with an hourly pay of $19.00/hour. We are accepting applications from Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada, and other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Work conditions and physical capabilities for this position include working under pressure with tight deadlines. You may be standing for extended periods of time as this position requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Supervision includes 3-4 people at a time. If you are a qualified candidate there will be a basic security clearance before officially hired.
