Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Instruct apprentices
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Welding experience
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
  • Attach components and adjust new farm equipment
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance

Carpenter (Noc 72310)

Cripps and Sons Woodworking Inc. has an opening for Carpenter (NOC 72310) to work and support the team. If you have what it takes to be successful in this line of work, then this is the right position for you. We need a person with right attitude who can support our team and grow our business even further.

As a Carpenter (Noc 72310), you will perform all or some of the following duties:

·         Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements

·         Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

·         Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

·         Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware

·         Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites

·         Survey building locations and levels

·         Supervise other workers

·         Operate CADD and other computer software systems

·         Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Education Qualifications: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Work experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 40 hours / week)

Employment: Morning, Day

Compensation: CAD $26.00 /hour

Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, Non-smoking

Work setting: Commercial
