Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Policy Development: Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure the company's fiscal integrity. Oversee the management of the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of financial and management reports, providing insightful summaries and forecasts of business activity and financial standing, encompassing income, expenses, and earnings based on current and anticipated operations.
  • Strategic Financial Guidance: Collaborate with senior management to facilitate the budgeting process, evaluate prospective business opportunities, and offer strategic advice on investment activities. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Financial Health Oversight: Uphold the financial well-being of the organization by regularly reviewing its financial status and progress. Engage with the operating management team to provide valuable suggestions and consultation for improved financial performance.
  • Supervision: Supervise financial and cost accounting processes, ensuring record-keeping and reporting in full compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management: Recruit, select, and manage departmental employees, overseeing their training and performance evaluations to foster continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Confidentiality: Handle highly sensitive and confidential information on a daily basis with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Adaptability: Remain current with advancements in technology and accounting software to leverage cutting-edge tools for financial purposes. Stay proactive in adapting to evolving industry standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.

Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job description

Conquip is a premier heavy equipment rental and transportation facility specializing in the rental, sales and transportation of Heavy Equipment located in Aldersyde, AB. We provide a competitive compensation and benefits package with the ability to grow and develop our employees. We are looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic to join our team.

Mechanic Summary:

The selected candidate will utilize Journeyman technical knowledge and expertise to perform complex mechanical tasks in the repair, maintenance, inspection and certification of Conquip’s fleet (Cat, John Deere, Komatsu) with minimal supervision. All tasks and assignments must follow established procedures in a professional, safe and cost-effective manner.

Mechanic Accountabilities:

  • Ability to perform mechanical repairs as required on heavy duty equipment in a fleet environment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritize work and material requirements and operate independently.
  • Expected to plan and supervise the activities of junior staff assigned to them.
  • On and off-road technician with experience with Fleet Repairs and Servicing is required.
