Walton’s is a woodworking company specializing in custom commercial and high-end residential cabinetry, built ins, and furniture in the Langley Area. Since 1986 we are dedicated to making our clients visions a reality by producing exceptional yet functional custom millwork.

Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret drawings plus specifications and prepare a cut list
  • Manage, build, and assemble custom millwork and furniture items
  • Plan and manage production tasks to make efficient use of time utilizing equipment
  • Set up and operate production equipment to produce components according to drawings
  • Work with different materials including engineered wood products, veneers, and fine hardwoods
  • Verify compliance of produced components with design documents
  • Assemble components into completed units using fasteners, adhesives, and joinery techniques
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing department
  • Cooperative with other employees and participate in training apprentices

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a fulltime custom cabinetmaker/millworker
  • No specific education required if experience is met

Compensation:

$26 – $28 /hour (to be negotiated) plus overtime at statutory rates and incremental raises as per company policy

Benefits available after 3-month probationary period and include group medical, dental, vision, disability benefits, and if applicable relocation loan.

Salary:  $82,000 per year, for 30 hours/week (plus commission)

  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales;
  • Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field;
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures;
  • Conduct performance reviews;
  • Oversee payroll administration;
  • Arrange training for staff;
  • Ability to supervise 5-10 individuals.
