Major Duties

– Prepare a variety of baked goods such as bread, pastries, and desserts

– Decorate cakes and pastries as per customer requests

– Ensure all baked items meet quality standards

– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

– Package and present baked goods attractively for sale

– Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies

– Passionate about baking

– Creative enough to make delicious treats

– Interact with clients and fulfill their orders effectively

– Proficient in food handling, food safety, and food preparation techniques

– Experience in cake decorating is a plus

– Able to cook and bake a variety of items

– Use kitchen equipment and procedures in the food industry

Tasks

  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Manage staff and assign duties
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold
  • Implement price and credits policies
  • Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  • Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff
