Little Munchkin Daycare Ltd. is transitioning from infants to early-learners; self-directed play becomes an important theme in this program; learning outcomes include language development, socialization, self-help and fine motor skills. Language development is promoted in a variety of ways such as labeling the surrounding environment, repetition of emerging vocabulary, in addition to other personalized goals. Job Description:
Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Vacancy: 1
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Wage: $20.00 CAD per hour
Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent

Main duties:

  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors

 

(Job Requirement) 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience: Experience an asset

Certificates: Child development assistant (ECE level 1)

 

Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Coordinate the flow of information
  • Interview patients to obtain case histories
  • Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Train staff in procedures and in use of current software
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms
  • Maintain filing system
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
  • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
  • Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe and distribute minutes
  • Perform data entry
  • Provide customer service
