Shifts: Monday to Friday, occasional weekends
Job Duties
- Operate and maintain advanced welding equipment, including robotic and semi-automatic systems
- Interpret welding process specifications and technical drawings to determine job requirements
- Perform complex welding repairs on structural components and machinery
- Assist with maintenance-related fabrication tasks such as brackets, supports, and metal enclosures
- Conduct quality inspections of welds using visual and mechanical testing methods
- Set up and calibrate welding machines for optimal performance
- Maintain welding tools and equipment, performing routine checks and minor repairs
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support fabrication needs
- Follow safety protocols and workplace procedures, including PPE and fire prevention standards
Employment Requirements
Education:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- Completion of a welding apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1+ years of welding experience, including exposure to robotic or semi-automated welding systems
- Experience in maintenance-related fabrication or industrial repair is strongly preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in manual and semi-automatic welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, welding symbols, and joint design
- Familiarity with welding safety standards and inspection procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot welding equipment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
