  • Several years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
  • Responsible beverage service certification is usually required for managers of establishments serving alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities.  

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Evaluate daily operations, recruit staff, and oversee staff training.
  • Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.
  • Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Leading/instructing individuals.

Restaurant Manager

Job description

We are looking for a Mature Restaurant Manager (40+) with a passion for the food industry

Are you professional, driven, and passionate about customer service?

Do you have previous experience in Hospitality or Food and Beverage?

Restaurant Managers will:

-Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of the restaurant on a daily basis.

-Work with the Management Team to determine and implement operational procedures.

-Conceptualize and run promotional campaigns to improve sales

-Recruit and interview staff as well as set staff work schedules.

-Oversee staff training and monitor staff performance.

-Control inventory and monitor revenues

-Resolve customer complaints and ensure that health and safety regulations are followed

-Work with clients to take and arrange reservations and group business

– Liaise with the rest of the Management Team and react to restaurant opportunities.

This position will include professional development that will guide successful candidates through all areas of our restaurant and operations. Candidates should expect to be trained in both Front of House and Back of House positions and will develop a strong operational knowledge base.

Job Requirements:

-A Mature Professional with a strong passion for the food industry

-Completion of a college or other program related to Hospitality or Food and Beverage Service Management is required.

-Several years’ experience in the food service sector, with applicable supervisory experience is required and may be accepted in lieu of a college program based on the candidates’ specific experiences.

-Successful candidates must be fluent in English (read, write, and speak)

-Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
