Job Duties: Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures, Delegate work to office support staff, Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met, Carry out administrative activities of establishment, Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation, Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services, Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls, Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence, Train staff, Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures

Experience Required: 2 years to less than 3 years

Education Required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Underground Long Hole Explosive Loaders

BME Mining Canada Inc has four  vacancies for Underground Long Hole Explosive Loaders. The head office is located at Hwy 17, Nairn Centre, ON P0M 2L0 but the work will be completed in underground mines in Timmins and Sudbury areas.

 

Duties

  • Reading and interpreting blast layouts and using bulk and packaged explosives.
  • Cleaning holes and preparing for blasts.
  • Laying out detonators and boosters.
  • Stemming of holes.
  • tying in blasts using non-electric and Electronic Initiation systems
  • Loading long-hole blasts as per engineered print.
  • Able to program and troubleshoot electronic detonators.
  • Safely and efficiently operate Loading Equipment.
  • Contribute to and establish effective workplace relationships; and
  • Any other duties as directed by the line manager/supervisor.

 

Education

·      Minimum qualification: Grade 12 Diploma 

·      WHMIS

·      Musty have common core certification or compete is within 12 months after starting to work.

 

Experience

  • Strong safety focus.
  • Self-motivated ability to work alone.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.
  • Preferred candidate will possess previous experience with long-hole loading.
  • Preferred candidates will be proficient in underground long-hole loading and blasting operations.

·      Candidate must demonstrate the skills to prepare for long-hole blasts following loading prints, selecting blasting agents, operating loading equipment, loading holes, determining firing sequence, blasting the face, and performing other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.

·      Physically fit, dependable, and energetic with sober habits.

·      Proven written and verbal communication skills.

·      No criminal record
